Quote of the Week

"If I cannot do great things, I can do small things in a great way" ~ Martin Luther King, Jr.

Let's hear from the readers. Let us know you're out there please.

We're glad you're out there reading us and if you come to PSST meetings we doubly appreciate your support. But just this once, how about letting us know that you are out there? Use a pen name or just remain anonymous, but answer any or all of these easy questions please. Some readers copy the questions below and paste them into a comment box. Then they just put answers under the questions.
Through to September 15, 2010 we have an anonymous donor who is going to donate one dollar to PSST for every comment that we receive but only on this particular post! This is a great way to support PSST!

How often do you check the blog?

How long have you been following PSST?

What area of the country or the world are you from?

What is your favorite thing about the meetings or about the blog?

Can you tell us one thing that you have learned at PSST or from this blog?

Do you have a favorite post?

How did you find the blog?

What would you like to see changed at the meetings or on the blog?

Do you have an adolescent who is troubled or who is using drugs?

Are you a professional in the field of Drug and Alcohol or counseling? If so, can you say what type of work you do?

If you are not from the Pittsburgh metro area would you like to see a PSST in your area?

Other comments?

Remember, you don't have to answer all the questions (but I would like to know what part of the country or world you are from.) Just let us know you're out there. Thanks for your support.

I try to check the blog every day, I get emails of the updates so I sometimes do not have to log on to the blog.

I have been following PSST and the Blog for almost 4 years.

I am from the Western PA area and would love to see PSST come to Westmoreland County!

I see that this works....it is not for everyone but everyone should give the meeting a try! It seems that some feel that if they do not do what the other parents do that makes them Bad Parents and that is just not so!!!!

I check the blog about 3 times a week.
How long have you been following PSST?
I have been following PSST for about 4 months.
What area of the country or the world are you from?
I am from the South Hills of Pittsburgh, specifically Bethel Park.

I love both. The meetings for the sharing of ideas, learning tools, and meeting others with the same problems. The blog is great for gaining knowledge that you might feel uncomfortable mentioning out loud to someone else; anonymity.

I check the blog at least once usually twice a day and I've been following it for over a year.

I feel comfortable at the meetings mostly because I am around people who understand about addiction. I always walk out of the meeting feeling better about myself and feeling like I can handle whatever comes my way.

Many of the posts are very helpful;
learning about and then using the 'power words' surely comes in handy with my teen. Almost everything I have read on the blog was helpful and interesting.

I live north of the city of Pgh and have a teen who is on probation and he was on drugs.

There is nothing that I would change about the meetings.

I am not a professional in the field of D&A.

I'm new at this and not good with typing so bare with me.. I'm from northwest Indiana, found PSST just through surfing this week after I finally accepted my 16 year old ha a problem with pot. ijust found this site earlier today and it as a HUGE help, being that today was the first time i could see him since addmited. Iread manipulating skills, resentment & triggers along with a few others and it really helped with what to expect with my first experience. I'm not happy to see other people with problems like mine, just relieved. Thank you for your sharing of prooblems and remedies that worked or not.. United we stand a chance
